Colorado Tourism Office
Restart Destination and Industry Associations
November 2021 – May 2022
The Colorado Tourism Office has long committed investing in communities across the state whether they are looking to better manage tourism or identify opportunities to grow their tourism economy. Late summer 2021, the Colorado Restart Destinations and Industry Associations recovery assistance program supported 19 industry associations and 28 destinations were chosen to receive strategic consulting to identify what they wanted a post-COVID world to look like.
The strategies were supported by technical assistance to accelerate the implementation of their strategies. Confluence Sustainability supported projects such as drafting a Visit Exit 205 Right Campaign and car-free travel itineraries for the towns of Dillon and Silverthorne as well as providing communication tools for historic interpretations of key historical events and attractions in southeast Colorado’s Canyons and Plains region.
