What Differentiates Confluence Sustainability

Confluence Sustainability’s mission is to support organizations to work outside the walls of traditional structure and networks to better help them accomplish their sustainability goals.

We work to break down the barriers that block collaboration and build projects with integrity and transparency. Our work builds a culture that is applicable now and leads mindfully into the future. We uphold sustainability and stewardship as key to innovation and growth and embrace its value in supporting legacy-building change.

An Insider’s Perspective

As sustainability practitioners, we have worked within organizations to make it happen from conception to implementation.

We have a history of award-winning projects and programs recognized by the US Department of Interior, US EPA, Colorado Governor’s Office, many local and state agencies, and respected international media outlets and publications to list a few. We are proud of our project successes, and truly understand the challenges involved in getting there.

Early Adopters

Confluence Sustainability is based in nearly 30 years of experience in sustainability, program development and marketing communications.

Since the establishment of the President’s Council for Sustainable Development established in 1993 under President Bill Clinton, and its integration into national policy and program development, and more recent development of international sustainable tourism standards by the United Nations World Tourism Organization and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, the principals of Confluence Sustainability continue to give life to this vision and work.

Comprehensive Services

We offer a full, A-to-Z complement of skills and experience. Foundational to our work is enterprise-wide, strategic, and efficiency-based sustainability program development. In addition to programmatic and operational elements, we bring broad-based experience in stakeholder engagement, marketing communications, community outreach and many points in between. This experience fosters creativity, flexibility, and adaptability.

Diverse Perspectives

We bring a powerful set of experiences from public, non-profit, and private sectors to support our clients. Drawing on work in hospitality, travel and tourism, and public lands management, Confluence Sustainability can quickly assess and understand your organization’s needs and opportunities.

We develop strategies and programs tailored to client needs. Our expertise includes working from within organizations such as Vail Resorts, RockResorts, EarthCheck, Denver Recycles/City and County of Denver, Colorado Ski Country USA, Winter Park Resort, and the Colorado Center for Environmental Management.
